Coming Soon: The very first expedition in a 1982 RV.

With shag rugs and retro knobs, our 1982 Wanderlodge has no doubt seen many springs, summers, and autumns of road trip wanderings — before she found her way to us, that is. Tomorrow we turn over the engine for our very first expedition in her as we turn over a new leaf in Maine. We’ve waited years to be able to do this, for the time to fine tune her mechanics, and our lifestyle, to take her on the road.

She has served us many a moon in a stationary state, which had one very particularly meaningful experience which you can read about in Our Number One Advice. And now we’re excited to put her where she is meant to be, on rumbling pavement amidst whizzing interstate signs and occasional Cracker Barrel stops. If she fares well on the way to Maine, she may be lucky enough (or we may be) to share a trip to the wide open spans of the western states amidst glowing red turrets of Arizona rocks, dappled mountains of Nevada, and time with family along the way, making for a warmer winter in the best way.

So, buckle up, Buttercup. I can’t wait to share our little journey with you!
